Bob and Terri Blalock moved to Montgomery County in 2007. They fell in love with the charm and small-town environment. Montgomery County has always felt like home as Bob grew up on a farm in Woodbury, Georgia and Terri grew up in a small town just outside of Dallas.

It has been a tradition over the years to give Bob’s homemade BBQ sauces as Christmas gifts to family, friends, and co-workers. By February, the calls came flooding in, “We’re out of Bob’s BBQ sauce, how do we get more?!”. So in 2009, Uncle Bob’s Sauces LLC was created.

What an amazing ride it has been! The support we have received from family and friends has been nothing short of amazing. Our BBQ Sauces and Rubs are now in stores nationwide!

In 2010, while looking for a commercial kitchen to manufacture the sauces and rubs, an existing commercial kitchen presented itself. With one small catch….a restaurant needed to open in that commercial space. Thus, Uncle Bob’s BBQ on the Lake LLC was born. Our family joined together and opened our facility in less than 30 days. Ever since that day, we’ve never looked back. It has been a crazy journey to say the least, but a great one!

In 2015, we dived into the catering world and quickly specialized in wedding catering. What a joy it is to be a part of a couple’s special day! Joining the wedding and special event industry has been an incredibly gratifying experience. We truly love this industry!

In 2017, we opened our 2nd location, Uncle Bob’s BBQ Montgomery. With our wedding catering taking off, our little kitchen at the lake just wasn’t enough.

In 2022, a business decision was made to move our Montgomery location and relocate to Conroe, TX. Bob and Terri Blalock purchased Darrel’s Catering and are now the proud owners of our own building! In the new location, they have been overwhelmed by the support of the businesses and people of Conroe, along with our loyal patrons of Montgomery that go out of their way to support our new location. The dining room is open for lunch M - F from 10:30AM - 3PM; while catering is available 7 days a week. The limited dining hours not only allow Bob and Terri to focus their business on their wedding, special event, and corporate catering but allow for the restaurant and catering team to have a healthy balance of work and family time. Bob and Terri are the proud Grandparents to two, soon to be FOUR granddaughters, Logan Marie Gorman, Sophia Sims Hubbard, Quinn Marie Gorman due May 2023, and a fourth Granddaughter due September 2023.
